Since the beginning of the Erasmus programme there has been a huge expansion in the number of international agreements of many higher education institutions. In recent years, however, more and more the focus is on quality in international cooperation. The question is: how can we monitor the quality of cooperation objectively?
Within Ghent University this recently led to the development of a proof of concept. Based on this concept, the Flemish government has granted Ghent University two-year project funding to develop an online tool, usable for all Flemish HEI, that addresses the question above.
The concept – use of data available in various sources to derive a limited number of indicators that are converted in descriptive quality reports – will serve as the starting point for the development of this tool.
The online tool will also contain a substantial international dimension to enable online peer assessment.
